I met Jesse through a mutual friend who told me he needed some web work done for the campaign.

Jesse already had another web designer working on his campaign website. So I became a volunteer web administrator, updating his site when needed. I wasn't excited about the direction the site was headed so I ended up making him a second option and he decided to make it his campaign website.
